I wish to comment on the story you published in last week's Chorley Citizen (September 28) about Chorley Football Club fans being barred from travelling with the team to the Spalding match.
As a highly respected individual supporter from the club, I think the story was inappropriate and came across much stronger than it was actually perceived on that particular day.
I feel this article has damaged the reputation of all Chorley fans, and hope, in a time where we like to think we encourage new fans including youngsters to support the local team.
I hope your report has not done anything to damage interest in the club that we all should be supporting, and especially the hard work that has been achieved by both the Supporters Club and the Magpies Trust.
