THE opening track on this debut release from arty Bristol quintet Leave Land For Water runs hot and cold like a broken shower.
The Cinders Spread suckers you in at the start with hushed, blissful melodies before being abruptly interrupted by pulsing waves of cranked-up guitars and feedback.
The dominant mood throughout the rest of the EP is one of shuffling electro-acoustic intricacies like an early Beta Band.
