BLACKBURN Rovers striker Craig Bellamy will find out the full extent of his knee problem when he undergoes a scan tomorrow.
Mark Hughes' £4 million signing lasted just 13 minutes of Saturday's 2-0 victory over West Brom before limping off with an injury.
Although a preliminary low resolution scan immediately after the game appeared to show no serious damage, the former Newcastle star will now have a high resolution one to determine the exact cause of the problem.
Whatever the result, however, it looks as though Bellamy will have to withdraw from the Wales squad for their World Cup double-header with Northern Ireland and Azerbaijan.
Bellamy's injury was the only blemish on what was another excellent day for Rovers.
Two goals from flying Finn Shefki Kuqi sealed the points for Hughes' side as they recorded back-to-back wins in the Premiership for the first time since April.
That result lifted the team up to eighth position in the table on Saturday night, but they then dropped back three places following yesterday's results.
Nevertheless, Hughes was delighted with the outcome - and particularly the performance of Kuqi, who celebrated his first ever goals in the Premiership in dramatic style.
"I'm really pleased for Shefki. Being a forward, it's always important to get off the mark," said the Rovers boss.
"He's a guy that works extremely hard and whatever success he has, he fully deserves.
"He's a great professional who just wants to succeed at this level and these two goals will really help him in that respect.
"In the first half we were a little bit slow coming out of the box and I think the injury to Craig affected us more than it maybe should have done.
"In the second half I felt we came out with a lot more determination and a lot more drive in our game and that really affected the result and the performance.
"Obviously, West Brom had a lot of men behind the ball and you began to wonder if you were going to break down them down and get an opportunity.
"But we kept plugging away and eventually got the two goals, which was just reward."
