A youth was given an interim Anti-Social Behaviour Order (Asbo), just two days before his 16th birthday.

Michael Farrell Patrick Gahagan, 16, of Links Road, Penwortham, appeared at Chorley Magistrates Court on Monday, September, 5, and was given the interim Asbo, which lasts until November 26.

The order prohibits the teenager from entering Lower Penwortham and being in a public place between the hours of 10pm and 5am.

He has also been ordered:

l Not to enter any school building or any part of school premises in the Penwortham area to include the following schools - Penwortham Priory Technology College, Penwortham Girls High School, All Hallows High School, Cop Lane Primary, Penwortham County Primary, Whitefield Primary, Howick Primary, St Teresa's Primary. This includes schools grounds.

l Not to cause damage or attempt to cause damage to any vehicle or building.

l Not to associate with or be in the company of Damien Chambers, Glenroy Lisle, Lee Williams, Steadman Thorpe, Trevine King, Kayleigh Ganner, Tom Collins or Gavin Carter.

In a separate case John Thomas Henderson, 22, of no fixed address, was given an interim Asbo at South Ribble Magistrates on Monday, September 5.

The order, in place until October 3, contained a number of prohibitions:

l Being found in possession of alcohol in an opened container, consuming alcohol or being under the influence of alcohol in an open place.

l Engaging in abusive, insulting, intimidating or threatening language or behaviour in a public place.

l Threatening or engaging in any unlawful violence to any person or threatening or engaging in any damage to property.

l Engaging in any form of anti-social behaviour.

l Causing physical harm, assaulting, abusing or intimidating any person.

l Inciting or encouraging any person to engage in anti-social behaviour.
