BREWERS Thwaites has taken over three new pubs as part of an expansion drive.
The Blackburn firm has bought pubs in Blackpool, Carlisle and Bradford and is looking at further opportunities in other areas.
"This is part of our acquisition strategy and we are expecting to announce more pub takeovers during the course of this year," said Malcolm Harrison, property director.
"We are very much on the lookout for new sites and suitable conversions of pubs as we further strengthen the spread of our trading estate."
Thwaites now has a trading estate stretching from Carlisle in the North to York in the East, Liverpool in the West and the Potteries in the South.
