A BIT of ancient Blackburn was uncovered this week, in the shape of the 14th century foundations of the town's old parish church.
The lawns in Blackburn Cathedral were being dug up in a bid to unearth the old church boundaries.
**Four factories were hit today as about 600 workers staged a 24 hour strike.
The dispute over a deadlocked annual claim had been declared by the Transport and General Workers Union and the pickets were posted at the Scapa Poritt Ltd industrial textile plants in Blackburn and Haslingden.
