CLITHEROE's unbeaten home run in the league was broken last night by a determined Burscough side.
But it was the Blues who got the early breakthrough when a long ball from Andy Taylor found Jon Riley.
He rounded the keeper, his crossing finding Dean Stone, who laid it back for Dennis Hill to fire home.
Minutes later Burscough hit back when they were allowed to run at the Blues defence unchallenged, and from 15 yards out a cross-goal shot found the bottom corner.
Ten minutes into the second half Burscough took the lead when a fierce shot was unleashed at the Blues goal from the edge of the box.
Carlo Nash saved well, but the rebound fell to a Burscough forward who tapped the ball home.
On 77 minutes the Blues were dealt a sucker punch striving for an equaliser.
Burscough broke forward and looked offside when the ball was drilled home from a narrow angle.
