PUNTERS in lottery-lucky East Lancashire can now pick their numbers over a pint.
Scottish & Newcastle is testing the sale of lottery tickets and scratch cards in six of its pubs in England and Scotland.
And of only four pilot pubs in England, TWO are in East Lancashire.
The Warners Arms in Accrington town centre has already got its lottery terminal.
The Knowles Arms, in Pleckgate Road, Blackburn, will be joining the six-month trial in the near future.
A spokesman for Scottish & Newcastle Retail said: "The lottery is an important and enjoyable part of many of our customers' weekly routines. "We welcome the opportunity to offer them this additional service at the trial sites.
"We anticipate that the machines will also attract a few new customers into the pubs."
The other pubs involved are two in Glasgow and two in Bristol.
The spokesman added: "Following the trial, Scottish & Newcastle Retail and Camelot will undertake an evaluation in order to ascertain whether the installation of lottery terminals is a viable option."
Camelot selected the six from a list of popular community pubs supplied by the brewery.
