ONCE again Stanley showed their fighting spirit away from home, coming from behind to win at Marine.

The Reds got off to a dreadful start, conceding a goal after only four minutes.

Mark Brennan's through ball found Jimmy Blackhurst who hit a powerful shot past Rob Mulloy. This was Marine's only chance of the half.

At the other end Steve Shaughnessy had a shot turned round the post by Kevin O'Brien on 11 minutes.

After half an hour Peter Mellor fired into the side netting and a minute later O'Brien made a superb save from a Darren Quick header.

Stanley drew level after 72 minutes, substitute Darren Thornton making a good run past the Marine defence and firing the ball into the net.

Three points were secured in the 86 minute when Brian Welch's corner was met by Quick's header and went into the net off the head of a Marine defender.
