HOSPITAL bosses in Blackburn have been grilled as part of a television documentary on the shortage of intensive care beds of children.
A BBC crew from the Close-Up North programme are putting together an investigation into the problems of intensive care provision in the North West.
The Blackburn, Hyndburn and Ribble Valley NHS Trust's medical director Dr David Grime will speak about paediatric intensive care provision in the area.
The programme, on February 8, will also focus on the tragic death of 21-month-old Lewis Jackson, of Monk Street, Clitheroe.
He died in a Stoke hospital after his parents were forced to take him there because there were no beds available in the North West.
