A LITTLE girl with a burning ambition to be a bridesmaid is turning to readers of the Lancashire Evening Telegraph to make her dream come true.

Five-year-old Charlotte Spencer wants nothing more than to don a bridesmaid's dress and accompany a blushing bride down the aisle.

But, alas, her relatives are unable to help as not one of them seems destined for matrimony. Now her "fairy" godmother Elaine Cunliffe, who lives next door to Charlotte in Petre Crescent, Rishton, is hoping to come to her rescue.

She said: "Charlotte loves dressing up and just wants to be a bridesmaid.

"We don't know anyone who is getting married and we just hope someone out there could be missing a tiny bridesmaid to make their wedding day complete."

Charlotte has already brushed up on her skills as a potential bridesmaid with regular ballroom dancing lessons.

Now the pupil of St Peter's and St Paul's CE school in Rishton, just needs a bride to look after on her big day.
