ASTHMA sufferer Sandra Snape only began running as a way of getting fit in May last year - now she is waiting to take part in this year's London Marathon.
Sandra, 31, of Preston New Road, Mellor Brook, said: "I am definitely far fitter now than I have ever been."
The Blackburn Road Runners' member will run on behalf of the National Asthma Campaign, a charity she has taken to her heart since being diagnosed asthmatic four years ago.
Her husband, Michael, a keen walker, has supported her throughout her training, which already includes three half marathons. She is also poised to make a 17-mile run in Burnley in February.
Sandra added: "The drugs I take for the condition mean I hardly even know I have it any more. It doesn't affect my running one bit."
Anyone interested in sponsoring Sandra for the event should ring Mrs Wyatt on 01282-31576.
