RECENTLY, my neighbour went into Blackburn Infirmary and she could not have been better cared for.
Of all the patients, my neighbour was the only one able to go to the toilet on her own. Some of the others needed bed changes several times a day.
Despite this workload, there were only three nurses on duty during the day and two at night - for 16 patients. They worked like robots.
I do not understand how any employer can expect staff to work under such conditions.
The nurses are more than dedicated: they always had a smile and a helpful attitude.
