MODEL pupils at Queen's Park High School, Blackburn, organised their own clothes show with an Eastern flavour. Pupils mixed and matched the new and the traditional and set up their own catwalk in the school hall at lunchtimes.

Pupil Aziza Patel, who has ambitions to become a fashion designer, organised the event, along with fellow pupil Sonia Pilkington. Aziza even spent five weeks embroidering one of the dresses and had another spectacular creation specially made in India. The fashion shows, run by members of the school's Compact Plus Club, raised more than £100 for use by the club.
