DENNIS Taylor edged out fellow Irishman Fergal O'Brien in a marathon encounter at Newport yesterday to reach the last 32 of the Regal Welsh Open.
Taylor took five-and-a-half hours to win 5-4 and was due to meet former world champion John Parrott for a place in the last 16 today.
