LEE Cartwright has romped home to claim his second Citizen Preston North End 'Player of the Month' award, writes Citizen soccer reporter Enda Brady.
His excellent performances throughout February earned him the coveted bronze boot trophy and post-match tributes from North End fans.
Livewire Lee's mazy runs have carved up opposition defences and created the opportunities for golden boy Saville to blast in.
The trophy is set to cheer up unlucky Lee after he picked up a knock in the opening minutes against Scunthorpe on Saturday and looks set to miss a couple of games.
Citizen editor Naomi Bunting, said: "North End's army of dedicated fans are making our Player of the Month award a runaway success. Lee's fast-flowing skills have obviously made him a big hit with the fans."
Lee, a hugely popular figure at Deepdale, will receive his award from Neil McDonald - not the new Deepdale striker, but schoolboy namesake Neil who is Cartwright's number one fan - before Saturday's home game against Rochdale.
March's competition is now underway. To vote for your star North End player simply cut out the special coupon that appears every week and you could win two VIP tickets to Deepdale and present the trophy to the winner.
