AN ARSONIST, who torched a garage containing a gas cylinder early today, put the lives of firemen and police officers at risk.
The liquid petroleum gas cylinder was like an unexploded bomb, said sub officer Kevin Murray at Darwen fire station.
Fire officers were today investigating the 4am blaze at the locked garage, one of a row beside Lees Court old people's home in Ribble Avenue, Darwen.
