ARMY veterans who meet every afternoon are appealing for a pool table to be donated.

The retired men who are in the 70s and 80s spend their days at the hut in Scott Park in Burnley chatting, playing dominoes and cards. Secretary John Moran, 75, said: "We are getting a bit fed up with just dominoes and would be grateful if anyone had a pool table or a dart board they could donate to the club." The Scott Park Veterans have about 10 members and have been meeting in the hut for more than 30 years and anyone who can help is asked to contact John on 01282 709552.
