THREE men were being held by police today following armed swoops in Accrington and Oswaldtwistle. Detective Superintendent Ken Standring said inquiries were still continuing and articles recovered from the houses were being examined.
The Queen and members of the royal family were said to be delighted at the news that Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson had got engaged today.
