BURNLEY Bulldog Warren Stowe's bout against Greg Scott on Sunday is set to be KO'd.

The 30-year-old super middleweight has damaged his left shoulder in training and will make a final decision tomorrow morning on whether to fight through the pain barrier.

The match was due to take place at the Tara Leisure Centre in Shaw.

It would have been his first bout back since shooting broke out during his contest against South African champion Simon Maseko in South Africa last November.

The injury has come as a bitter blow to Stowe who was eagerly anticipating his return to the ring.

"I'm very disappointed obviously to have got this setback," said Stowe.

"I'll make a final decision tomorrow morning but in all likelihood I won't be able to fight.

"I'm sorry to all the fans who bought tickets for the bout but sometimes these things happen.

"I'll get back in training as soon as I can and hopefully return to action before long."

Promoter Jack Doughty said that the show will go ahead and is busy trying to put together a new main event.
