ONE month after giving up gymnastics in which he was very successful, a Bury 12-year-old has scooped a gold medal in springboard diving.
Anthony Morris of Hunt Fold Drive, Bury, is a member of Oldham Diving Club because there isn't a club in Bury.
He gained his medal in the North West Novices competition in which he had to complete five different dives.
His coach, Geoff, is from Pilsworth and both he and Anthony would like to see a diving club established at Castle Leisure Centre where there is an excellent diving pool.
