PROSPECTIVE Parliamentary Candidate for Bury North David Chaytor has written to local GPs to consult them on Labour's plans for the future of the family doctor service.

David Chaytor said: "GPs here in Bury North are providing vital health care, are in touch with their patients and know what is going on in the locality.

"Our objectives are clear but further consultation is important as we refine our proposals.

"I want to hear what GPs are saying about how they are improving their services, about the problems they are facing and how GP care should be developed.

"This initiative is part of Labour's national consultation of GPs and will ensure that GPs in Bury North have a direct say in the future of primary health care under Labour."
