WHILE I am very pleased that the Duke of Westminster visited and praised 'Bank Top's Wensley Fold School' (LET, April 19), he has been seriously misled.

The school is not in Blackburn's Bank Top; it is well within the boundaries of Billinge Ward.

To my knowledge, none of the residents are enjoying 'better conditions' with funding from any source.

If this grump really believes the area is in fact in Bank Top, then where is the share in these better conditions, currently being promised to Bank Top?

Sadly, when it comes to sharing, the area remains in Billinge, and gets none of the improvements.

Residents, however, quite justifiably feel that Wensley Fold School, and it magnificent grounds, was 'used' just to impress the Duke.

SHEILA WILLIAMS (Coun), Billinge Ward, Blackburn.
