My wife and I live in America but spent some time in and around Blackburn and Clitheroe last September (1995).
Our family came from there in the 1800s and Iwanted to let you know that everyone we met in the UK, and especially in Lancashire, made us feel very welcome.
I returned to the US knowing what true civility is. I also returned home with a new found pride in my British roots.
