LANCASHIRE captain Mike Watkinson today set his sights on a Lord's double.

Watkinson's one-day wonders have already reached their fifth Benson and Hedges Cup Final in seven years - they take on Northants on Saturday.

But first they faced Curtly Ambrose and Co in the second round of the 60 over NatWest Trophy at Old Trafford today.

"We are all looking forward to Lord's - it's always a great day out," said Watkinson.

"But we are only a few games from Lord's in the NatWest. The first Northants game is a vital one in its own right. "As well as getting to the NatWest quarter-finals, beating them would give us whatever psychological advantage there is going for Saturday."

Last year Lancashire were in a similar position, facing Worcestershire in the NatWest three days before their Lord's showdown with Kent. And they put the final to the back of their minds to cruise to a four-wicket win, with Steve Titchard hitting 92 to earn the man of the match award.

Titchard was missing today with John Crawley returning for his first game since suffering a hamstring injury at Essex on June 9.

Lancashire are rated 6-1 for the NatWest, second only to holders Warwickshire, with Northants out at 12-1.

Lancashire left out Glen Chapple who has flu-like symptoms but with John Crawley passed fit to play.

Northants left out Tim Walton, their man of the match in the Benson and Hedges semi-final, but vice-captain Alan Fordham returned to the side.

The Lancashire side is: Atherton, Gallian, Crawley, Fairbrother, lloyd, Watkinson, Hegg, Austin, Elworthy, Martin, Yates.

England ace Peter Martin gave Lancashire a great start taking three quick wicket to leave Northants in trouble at 25 for three off 12.5 overs.
