LONG-SERVING secretary Sue Banks has achieved her career ambition after 23 years.
Sue has been appointed company secretary for Wolstenholme Rink plc and is now responsible for the firm complying with its legal and statutory obligations.
Sue, who was assistant company secretary, needed to gain a tough professional qualification to advance her career.
And after three years of hard work she qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries. "I am absolutely delighted for Sue," said Wolstenholme Rink's joint chairman Tony Rink.
"She is a great asset to the company and an example to us all.
"After all her hard work she has gained the professional qualification that enables her to take up the position she very much wanted and will make an excellent company secretary.'"
Sue started her career as a private secretary with the firm in 1973 after two years with the World Health Organisation in Geneva.
She was appointed assistant company secretary in 1984.
