I LIVE near the estate where they are having a duck problem (LET, August 22).
The ducks venture into our garden as well and I must say they have given me, my husband, family and friends great pleasure throughout the summer.
OK, they have eaten some of my plants and made a bit of a mess on our patio, but nothing that could not be sorted out.
I've even had ducks greeting me when I have come home, sometimes with their ducklings.
They have even wandered into the house, had a look around, then wandered out. They did appear to be house trained.
Please, residents in the Rhodes Avenue and Fairclough Homes, a lot of people would love to live with this sort of wildlife around them - can you not come to some agreement? Keep the pond but monitor the duck population.
We are losing wildlife every day. Can we not help to keep a little?
