I FIND A Sedgwick's views (Letters, August 23) very superficial and trite.

Christianity is not in decline as opposed to Islam. Evangelical Christianity is increasing by leaps and bounds.

I am a member of a church which has a vibrant and go-ahead priest. Through his efforts and inspiration, there has been an influx of children and young parents. No sign of decline here!

Over the Bank Holiday, 20,000 young people held an evangelical meeting in Northants.

Outlook bleak? Rubbish!
