LORA Fairclough missed out on a place in Europe's Solheim Cup team when Sale's Joanne Morley overtook her after the final qualifying tournament in Sweden. The Chorley golfer lost her automatic place when Morley finished joint seventh and she finished 43rd.
Despite an excellent win in the singles by Burnley's Paul Carman, Great Britain and Ireland's club professionals failed to wrest the Johnnie Walker Cup from the United States when the match ended tied at 15-15.
