BIG hearted Evening Telegraph readers took pity on heartbroken Colin Davies when they heard he was being forced to get rid of his pet cats.

But your generosity has landed unlucky Colin in even more strife - now he's got a pile of cat food, £35 and two MORE cats!

Colin was forced to offer his cats to good homes after being forced out of work through ill health.

But after an appeal went out in the Evening Telegraph, when Colin revealed he was having to feed his pets on nine pence tins of beans, readers flooded him with gifts. He said: "I had around 18 people knocking on my door and giving me tins of cat food.

"They've also been giving me money and one person even left me £35.

"I've been amazed by the generosity, there are some good people out there, but I really have to give the cats up.

"I'm now being forced to sell my house and I need to find homes for the cats quickly.

"It didn't help having two cats I thought were going to have to be put down making a miraculous recovery at the vets. Now I have 16 I need to find homes for."

Anyone who can help Colin can contact him at 35 Plane Street, Blackburn.
