IT WAS revealed that a group of squatters were living in a £200,000 row of five Georgian houses amid plush solicitor's and accountant's offices - 200 yards from Accrington town centre.

The District Health Authority, who own the buildings, were trying to sell the buildings in St James' Street, but had to ask the squatters' permission before showing any prospective buyers around. An eviction order was sought.
