THE Thatcher policy of money above all things, has, in the opinion of many, made the rich richer and the poor poorer.

This has led to a decline in national confidence.

Youngsters resort to crime and disruption because their potential has been sacrificed on the altar of monetarism.

Now, a perilous situation has arisen in that monetarism has challenged the very source of our being - Nature.

We know of 'mad cow disease,' and I have no doubt that, in the interests of monetarism, many other products are suspect.

Cattle have been fed on the diseased remains of other cattle. Maybe, if monetarism continues, there will come a time that when humans die of a disease, they will be processed and presented as nutritional cornflakes for breakfast.

Religious groups are now concerned at the behaviour of priests. Why do they show so little concern and ignore the one whose faith in nature was paramount?

Nature will hit back, and it will be our young who will pay the price of the ignorance of those who fail to recognise the price.
