I AGREE wholeheartedly with Sheila Brennan's remarks (Letters, February 22) about the indifference of the Church to cruelty to animals at religious festivals in Spain. Being a Catholic, I wrote to the Pope years ago advocating the excommunication of all those guilty of this vile practice. If all decent persons wrote, some good might come of their efforts.
Numbers can hold sway. So for your "Easter duties," please do your best.
