A MAN police feared was in danger from a "contaminated" batch of drugs has been found safe and well.

Police in Leigh were anxious to trace 26 years-old Colin Critchley who they feared may have taken some of the drugs.

The alarm was sparked after Marc Unsworth, aged 25, of Church Street, Leigh, was discovered dead in the living room of a house in Vernon Street, in the town centre.

The two men are thought to have taken the same illegal drugs. Detectives traced Mr Critchley and he was medically examined.

Four people have now been charged with offences relating to the incident.

Police have so far been unable to establish the cause of Mr Unsworth's death.

A post mortem examination has been carried out and samples have been sent for analysis by forensic science experts at Chorley.

Mr Unsworth's funeral was on Thursday at St Thomas', Bedford.
