RUMOURS of a romance between Captain Mark Phillips and Lancashire woman Jane Thornton were scotched.
The Princess Royal's ex-husband was spotted with Jane, whose parents lived near Chipping, at the Savernake Forest Horse Trials in Wiltshire. But his father, Major Peter Phillips, said: "They are just good friends."
