ACCORDING to a survey at London Zoo, 95 per cent of us are totally confused about our wildlife.

The report conducted by Longridge schoolboy Toby Hyde found out from a survey at London Zoo that 95 per cent of those questioned are totally confused about their native wildlife.

Toby, 12, of Knowles Green, Longridge, Preston, and his colleagues, all members of the London Zoo Children's Committee, carried out a survey to find out just how much we know.

The survey timed to co-incide with " It's Your Wildlife ....Save it!"- a national campaign by the British Zoo Federation is designed to show that it's not just giant pandas that face extinction.

The Children's Committee gave visitors a list of twelve mammals, birds, and reptiles and asked them which country they could be found in.. Only two people surveyed could match all the animals correctly.

The aim of "It's Your Wildlife..... Save it!" is for the public to sign up to 60,000 pledges of support, raising £120,000 pounds for British Wildlife Projects.
