CARL FOGARTY wants to pledge his future to Ducati and end his glittering career with another World Superbike title.

The Tockholes rider, who thrilled 70,000 fanatical followers with a win at Brands Hatch on Sunday (August 3), hinted that next season could be his last on the circuit.

And Foggy, who has been linked with a move to Superbike rivals Suzuki, says he wants to stay with the team that has helped him win two World Championships and the majority of his 41 wins.

He said: "I'm 31 now and my career is coming to an end. I'll definitely be racing next year but after that I will have to wait and see.

"I'll be able to speak to a number of teams at the end of this season but I would like to end my career with Ducati. I have been with them for most of my career."

Fogarty lost his top spot at the weekend to arch rival John Kocinski after crashing out of the first race before recovering to win race two. However he is confident he can still win the title - although forthcoming races on faster tracks favour the American's powerful Honda machine.

But Foggy vowed: "I am a more skilful rider than Kocinski and I can still win this championship."

The next round takes place at Zeltweg, Austria on Sunday, August 17.

DARWEN dasher Darren Barton will be looking to strengthen his lead in the British 125 Supercup at Knockhill in Scotland on Sunday, August 10. The following Sunday, August 17, he will test his skills to the limit in the British Grand Prix.
