MANY people will be shocked and horrified at the recent video by the WSPA on BBC News, exposing the deliberate torture of the 'fire bulls.'

More than 2,000 of these magnificent creatures suffer each year in honour of saints' festivals in the cities, towns and villages of Spain.

In a world where cruelty is the norm, the blood-stained march of human-kind has been motivated by lust, power, money, possessions and status.

The church must recognise and face the full extent of responsibility - in Britain, too - and begin to redress the shameful arrogance to the merciless exclusion of animals.
