KITCHEN and bedroom specialist J and J Ormerod Supplies Ltd has expanded its business - by taking over its neighbour.
The Rossendale-based firm has plans to create new jobs and develop its operation after assuming control of Valley Refrigeration and Shop Fittings.
The two firms, which occupy adjacent premises in Forest Mill, Henrietta Street, Bacup, have previously done business together.
Former owners Geoff and Barbara McGrath achieved a turnover over just under £1 million a year at Valley Refrigeration and Shop Fitting before retiring.
J and J Ormerod's financial director Stephen Greenhalgh said: "We hope that putting fresh impetus into Valley Refrigeration and Shop Fittings will give it new momentum. Once again, this investment shows our commitment to Rossendale."
