A ROSSENDALE man was recovering at home after a nightmare ordeal in which he was trapped for several hours in thick mud.
Clifford Taylor, of Waterfoot, set off for a mid-afternoon walk but soon became stuck in deep mud in a field.
He spent a night in the open and a police search was launched when he did not return home. He was found the next day about half a mile from his home.
