COMPLACENCY is a dirty word in the Shakers' camp after Tuesday evening's demolition of First Division leaders Nottingham Forest.

That's the message coming out loud and clear from Bury boss Stan Ternent as his injury and suspension ravaged troops prepare to take on struggling Portsmouth.

Tuesday's confidence-boosting win means nothing at 3pm tomorrow afternoon and the Shakers chief is well aware that Terry Fenwick's men will pose problems of their own.

"The Forest performance was superb but that game has gone now and tomorrow's game is sure to be a tough one.

"Despite where they are in the league, Portsmouth are a good side and picked up a useful point at Middlesbrough on Wednesday.

"As I've said all along there are no easy games in this division, and there will be no complacency from our players, they know what is required and that's another three points to add to the nineteen we've already picked up," said Ternent.

Definitely missing from the Shakers line-up are Andy Gray and Ian Hughes who start their six and five game suspensions.

Injury victims Steve Morgan and Dean West are progressing but won't be fit enough to feature against the south coast side.

Under-fire Pompey boss Terry Fenwick was at Gigg Lane on Tuesday evening to run the rule over the Shakers.

He will be without the services of his club's two Jamaican internationals midfielder Fitzroy Simpson and striker Paul Hall who will be in World Cup action against El Salvador on Sunday.

The Shakers will be hoping to extend the visitors' run of never having kept a clean sheet all season, a disastrous sequence that has seen them pick up only four points from the last thirty-three.
