IN reply to the query by Julian Pilling (Letters, November 11), I have a photo in a magazine of two women boxers squaring up to each other. The date is 1904.
Underneath is the caption: Women boxing - not an Olympic event, but one of the attractions at the St Louis Worlds Fair, which coincided with the Games.
