TRADING standards officers were warning last-minute bargain hunters to be on their guard against one-day sales of Christmas gifts.
It came as leaflets advertising a "sale to end all sales" were distributed to homes in Blackburn.
Chief trading standards officer Jim Potts said the goods on offer might turn out not to be all they seemed.
