CAMPAIGNING activities on behalf of student hostage Paul Wells have been largely put on hold until the New Year.
But campaign director James Bowman said calls to the campaign's Middlesbrough office would still be monitored.
He added: "The families of Paul and his fellow captive Keith Mangan have had a busy time over the last month or so.
"They will be relaxing over Christmas."
Paul, 26, of Bracken Close, Feniscowles, Blackburn, was captured by Kashmiri militants in July 1995.
