A PENSIONER has died in hospital following a road accident in Henry Street, Church, early today.
Pedestrian Mrs Jean Logan, 64, of Maden Street, Church, suffered serious head injuries when she was involved in a collision with a van.
She was taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary where she died shortly afterwards.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the accident, which happened at 7.35am, to contact Accrington police on 01254 382141.
Paramedics treated the injured pedestrian at the scene before taking her to hospital.
There were traffic tailbacks as emergency services dealt with the accident.
