LEIGH should have a comfortable passage into round four of the Silk Cut Challenge Cup after being paired with Yorkshire amateur side Hunslet Warriors.

They will start as clear favourites at Hilton Park against the Yorkshire League Premier Division side who have beaten Ideal ABI of Hull and Cumbrians Millom to reach this stage. But National Conference Premier Division amateurs Leigh Miners Rangers have a tough job on their hands with a visit to First Division Rochdale Hornets.

The match will be something of a homecoming for Miners coach Ian Taylor who lives in the town.

Leigh coach Keith Latham admits to being slightly disappointed with the draw. "It would have been nice to have pulled a more local side to have generated a bit of passion," he said. "But we have the incentive of perhaps playing a Super League club in the next round."

Matches to be played on the weekend of January 31 and February 1.
