FORGET dress sense, good looks or witty chat. If you ladies want to discover the perfect partner, look no further than his fridge.

Celebrity psychologist Donna Dawson believes the contents of your larder reveal more about your personality than any other facet of your life.

And according to an in-depth study it seems that men in at least one East Lancashire town know the recipe for romance.

Food found in larders for a survey by SuperNoodles found that the Blackburn man is generally a high performer, not only in his profession but also as a lover.

He eats high-energy carbohydrates such as pasta, Cup-a-soup, and chocolate biscuits to fuel his stamina and his extrovert personality.

"He won't need a sex manual. He could write his own. He's definitely up for wrestling, tickling and bear hugs," said Donna.

His kitchen secrets suggest he is a man who will play his part as a breadwinner and is a down-to-earth, homely sort. Donna found London men to be more like "mummy's boys", with packets of cauliflower cheese sauce and jars of hot chocolate showing they love comfort food.

Up-and-coming Scottish comedian Lewis Macleod is the star of the new SuperNoodles campaign, launched last year. An analysis of his larder revealed: "This man is always rushing in and out of the house so he has food that is quick to prepare.

"He could find his way around the kitchen - when he has time - to whip up an extraordinary meal."

We asked Dawn to delve into some of our readers' larders to discover the deeper psychological deeper meaning of their choice of grub.
