PREMIERSHIP football ace Gary Pallister scored a hit with youngsters when he visited a Preston sports store to sign autographs.

The popular Manchester United defender called in at Sports Max on Queens Retail Park to see hundreds of expectant fans on Thursday (Feb 5).

First in the queue were 11-year-olds Matthew Wilson and Jack Sunter from Penwortham.

Jack, who had his shirt signed by the player, said: "I've always been a United fan so it was great to see him even though my favourite player is David Beckham. He was really nice."
