THE strike at Daniel Thwaites brewery in Blackburn ended after the company withdrew the management letter which sparked the dispute.

Draymen and bulk tanker staff were set to return to work after the weekend, and both sides agreed to restart talks about productivity related pay within four hours of the return.

The strike lasted two days, and was part of a nine-month long row over pay.
