THANKS for all the Valentines cards - I got the grand total of one and that was from my mother. Anyway - such is life.

So I hear that it's the warmest February for 300 years. A couple of days ago everyone was walking around the office in t-shirt. You just wait - in July we'll have five foot of snow.

If you've been listening to my show over the last week or so, you'll know that there's loads of great new music around at the moment. There's always a big surge on new releases around this time- so here's three that caught my eye this week.

The Dust Junkies "What Time Is It"

These guys were recently on tour with Black Grape and they have a new album out soon called Nothing Personal. This is the most commercial Dust Junkies track to date and should be a big hit for the boys from Manchester. Very much in the Stereo MC's mould, the track will at last give The Dust Junkies the credit they deserve.

Leanne Rimes "How Do I Live"

This 15 year old American has taken the USA by storm. Last year alone she earned an incredible $96.3 million, far outselling the Spice Girls, Mariah Carey and Celine Dion. This love song has been released by a couple of people previously but this version is by far the best we've heard. It's currently number two in the States and is sure to be a massive hit when it's released over here at the end of February. I predict top three. A quality love song from an impressive young talent.

Natalie Imbruglia "Big Mistake"

The second single from the album Left Of The Middle and the follow up to the massive single, 'Torn'. This single was actually co-written by Natalie and proves that not only can she sing, but she can write a great song too. Mixed opinions on this one around the office but I personally think it's superb. A bit rockier than Torn but still incredibly catchy. This single underlines the fact that Miss Imbruglia isn't just a one hit wonder. Now for this week's album give-away and we're giving away THREE copies of In The Mix 98 - a double album with tracks from the likes of Janet Jackson, Camisra, Chumbawamba, Todd Terry and many more all mixed together.
